Madagascar

Photography Essay - Documenting the journey of delivering solar lights to children in 3 schools in Madagascar.

In Madagascar, only approximately 15% of the population has access to electricity, with that number dropping to just 4% in rural areas. This lack of access to electricity has significant impacts on the daily lives of millions of people, particularly children who are unable to continue their education after dark.

A program was developed to deliver lights to children, enabling them to continue their education at night. This program also serves as an alternative to burning wood and kerosene, which have disastrous health effects on both individuals and the environment.

We went to document the trip.
